The exam results achieved by pupils across Orkney are excellent. They are just reward for the hard work put in by pupils over the last year. They also reflect the enormous support provided by teaching staff and parents.
We are fortunate in the quality of education available in the islands. And these results provide further evidence of this.
I congratulate all those in Orkney receiving their results today. It will have been a nerve-wracking experience but hopefully a rewarding one and I wish our young people all the best in the challenges that lie ahead.
